Description
2023 Brouilly
by Domaine Madone Perrine Tric is a 100% Gamay. The nose brims with blackberries, wild strawberry, and subtle floral nuances. Handpicked grapes are gently fermented using traditional Beaujolais methods. Some partial destemming may be employed, followed by a careful maceration to accentuate the vibrant fruit character. Maturation in tank or neutral cask refines the tannins without overshadowing the wine’s natural brightness. The palate is round and pervasive, balancing juicy fruit with a soft yet noticeable tannic frame. Expect a lingering finish that invites another glass. Grilled or roasted meats—especially pork, lamb, or poultry—shine next to this wine. It also pairs beautifully with charcuterie, hearty vegetable dishes, and mild to medium cheeses. Domaine de la Madone, located in the Beaujolais region of France, has been a family-owned estate for generations. The estate is known for its Côte de Brouilly wines, characterized by elegant aromas and complex flavors. Georges Duboeuf has been purchasing wine from this domaine since 1978.
