2019 Ogga Reserva DOCa Rioja

Named after one of the earliest recorded forms of the word “Rioja,” Ogga Reserva is conceived as a tribute to the region itself. Built around Tempranillo and sourced from sandy soils in Rioja Alta, it offers a more powerful and deeply concentrated interpretation of Rioja, combining traditional craftsmanship with remarkable depth and character.

The Story

Santalba are a family-run producer who have been working in the region since 1964 with a focus on sustainable farming, really high quality, low-yield grapes from old vines, and elegant oak use (they use a mix of American and French oak).
