100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense cherry, blackberries, black olive, black pepper, and vanilla on the nose. Dark ruby robe. The palate begins with a burst of dark cherry before the greener and more peppery flavours come through. Dense and smooth finish, with a little more presence from the oak tannins and attendant vanilla.

The Story

The Otero Ramos family’s approach was to listen to the terroir, rather than transplant Spanish winemaking ideas, and so they focused mainly on Malbec, the grape of the D.O. region, learning that drip irrigation is necessary, and that older vines are vital for the classic style of the region.
