The Wines (3 Pack Mixed Case):
2 bottles Peit Manou, 2020, DAVID BEAULIEU, BORDEAUX, FRANCE:
Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot blend. The vineyard is established on the first hill of Saint- Émilion, half a kilometre away from the village. Its vines have always been grown with the higher respect of the terroir and nature. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. The must is entirely matured in French oak (50% one-year-old, 50% two-year old) for 12 months. Notes of black cherry and plum flavors show accents of herb, licorice and tobacco. Ruby red colour. A round red, which has light, firm tannins and a finish that mingles notes of iron and rose.
1 bottle Clos Manou, 2019, DAVID BEAULIEU, BORDEAUX, FRANCE:
53% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Dense, strong, complex with smooth tannins; a true Médoc, unusually round thanks to the Cabernet Sauvignon. Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The grapes are left to macerate for 20 days, during which time the lees are stirred daily to develop the texture, softness and body of the wine. Notes of ripe fruit, and a rare touch of black fruits. Dark, intense, purple colour. The wine stretches out on the finish over a good length.
