Description
Santalba are a family-run producer who have been working in the region since 1964 with a focus on sustainable farming, really high quality, low-yield grapes from old vines, and elegant oak use (they use a mix of American and French oak).
Aged 20 months in medium toasted French oak. Dark ruby, near-black robe. Classic notes of violets, vanilla, cedar and tobacco, with dark fruit and acidity up front on the palate, and a long finish ending with refined tannins and a beautiful floral character.
