Ripe cherries, cedar, and a touch of coffee on the nose

This is a denser, slightly more serious version of the Aneto Red, with a little more red fruit and a little more weight, but it’s still Douro through and through, with Franca, Nacional and Roriz balancing each other elegantly to present a ripe but elegant expression of the region.

A deep, lush texture with a concentrated mix of raspberry, blackberry and hints of vanilla, cacao, cinnamon, and even a touch of sesame on the palate. Smooth tannins that retain an edge that can be softened with an hour or two of decanting if you’d like.

Best with pork or poultry, game meat, or hard cheese and cured meat.
